Marvin M. Houck Jr., affectionately known as Marty to his friends and loved ones, passed away on July 17, 2024, in Jackson, MS, at the age of 55. Born on April 6, 1969, in Wilmington, Delaware, Marty led a life characterized by dedication, service, and the joy of building and creating. Educated through college, Marty bravely joined the Marines, serving his country with distinction. After his military career, he pursued his knack for craftsmanship in construction and house remodeling. His talents in carpentry were well-known and respected in his community. Marty's passion extended beyond his work; he enjoyed building various projects and cherished relaxing while fishing or catching up on his favorite sports games. Marty's legacy lives on through the structures he built, and the memories he created with his sons. Marty is survived by Ann Marie Houck of Brandon and Marvin M. Houck Sr. of Paducah, Kentucky; his siblings, Jodi Marie Rush (Eric) of Brandon, and Shannon Houck (Leeann); his treasured sons, Dustin Houck (Megan) of Brandon and Dylan Houck of Louisiana; his grandchild, Tatum Houck of Brandon.
