Michael Allen Luckett Sr., life-long resident of Madison County, passed away unexpectedly on November 29th, 2024, at 3:30 PM at his home. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pamela Graef Luckett of Madison County; his children Michael Allen Luckett Jr (Alicia) of Frisco, Texas, Jeffrey Adam Luckett (Jennifer) of Bossier City, Louisiana, and Peter Graef Luckett (Fr. Paisios) of the All-Merciful Saviour Orthodox Christian Monastery on Vashon Island in Washington state; his grandchildren Colin Adam Luckett of Redwater, Texas, Bailey Anne Luckett, Abagail Marie Luckett and Lucas William Luckett of Bossier City, Louisiana. Michael was born on May 27th, 1944, in Pascagoula Mississippi, to Ola and Robert Luckett of Canton, Mississippi. He graduated from Canton High School in 1961 and entered the Air Force. His service included a tour of duty in Viet Nam and had a total of 23 years of both active duty, and reserve duty with the Army National Guard. He worked many years in Human Resources, then began his life’s work advocating for the elderly as a nursing home administrator. He later retired from the State of Mississippi department of Health as a licensure surveyor. Was the CFO PGL Consulting, LLC which was Michael and Pamela’s family business. He was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Madison, MS. He also held membership in the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. A visitation is planned for Wednesday December 4th at 5pm - 7pm with Rosary at 7pm. at Natchez Trace Funeral Home. A funeral will be held Thursday December 5th with visitation from 9:30am - 11:00am with the requiem funeral mass at 11:00am followed by a short graveside service at the Natchez Trace Cemetery. The funeral will be officiated by Monsignor Elvin Sunds, Monsignor Michael Flannery, Father Albeen Vatti and Father Nick Adam. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Webster Animal Shelter or Catholic Charities of Jackson.
